Trimming the Wick: Trimming the wick to about 1/4 inch (0.5 cm) before each use controls the flame size and heat, which helps the candle burn more efficiently and last longer.
- First Burn: The initial burn should be long enough for the melted wax to reach the full diameter of the container. This prevents "tunneling" and ensures an even burn throughout the candle's life.
